Some people are stuck in the denial phase, and are unwilling to move on. They don’t want to make the conscious step to work through their grief, which is only the beginning of the grieving process.
Denial ends when you can you: “Yes, I’ve lost this person.”
Hanging on to the deceased is a sign you’re stuck in the denial phase, which holds you back from moving on with your life.
God is able to help you take the next step.
